4. Skye – It’s Complicated

Can I just say that web series are definitely the way to go when you want a solid, decent queer story line? That’s because the people who are creating this content are probably just like you—watching stories like these and wishing their were more.

So let’s talk another web series called It’s Complicated. It’s about a girl, Skye, who lives with her ex boyfriend because she can’t get out of the lease, and then she starts dating women. Sounds complicated, right? Right.

The series is a hysterical story of how to accept that you might be into women when all you’ve known is men. It’s classic “rom com” but a little gayer. It’s “Between Me and You” but in web series form, and obviously with much more quality filming, and dare I say, has a better story line. That’s right. I said it. It’s Complicated has a better plot than “Between Me and You.” It’s less tropey, and it just hits home for anyone experiencing what Skye is going through. (Minus the whole living with your ex-boyfriend thing. That’s probably not normal…

This web series was even nominated at NYC Web Fest for an Audience Choice Award last year. So, I’m not lying when I’m telling you it’s a damn good web series with a damn good coming out story.
