For the 2012 White House Correspondents Dinner, Michelle went less casual in a strapless Naeem Khan number.

But the dress of the year for her that year was the one she wore to make her Democratic National Convention Speech in 2012. This surprisingly affordable Tracey Reese dress sold out in minutes.

As did the other Tracey Reese dress she wore that week to the last night of the Democratic National Convention, as Obama accepted the nomination for a second term.

While it may have been the binders full of women and the gotcha moments of the Romney-Obama debates that we remember most, in terms of outfits, it was the tailored fuchsia Michael Kors dress and blazer she wore to the presidential debate at Hofstra University that stole the show.
