Michelle Obama’s Most Fabulous Fashion Moments

Michelle makes wearing an Alexander McQueen gown look easy here at the 2011 White House State Dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao. Don’t be fooled—it’s totally not that easy. If only he had lived to see the day.
Designers? Who needs designer clothes? Michelle O doesn’t. here she is in a casual outfit as part of her trip to South Africa, making flared pants trendy and sporting a leather jacket to die for 2011.
Well, I suppose if one is going to Buckingham Palace for dinner, one should wear some designer outfits. Michelle knocked everyone dead on this trip. Her she is for the formal state dinner at the palace with the queen in head to toe white by Tom Ford.
And here she is on the same trip, having a daytime audience with Queen Elizabeth II in a smashing Ralph Lauren.
But sometimes it just takes the right dress to look stately, as we see in this floral dress she wore in Hawaii for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation luncheon. Behind her are Kristiani Herawati; wife of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono; Nadine Heredia, wife of Peru President Ollanta Humala; and Mai Thi Hanh, wife of Vietnamese President Truong Tan San.
Another variation on the one shouldered gown, this time in a deep purple for the 2011 South Korean State Dinner, honoring South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and first lady Kim Yoon-ok. Appropriately the gown was designed by Korean-American designer Doo-Ri Chung.
