We run down First Lady Michelle Obama’s most fabulous fashion moments, from the 2008 campaign trail to the Obama’s final days in the White House.
Today is the final day of the Obama administration. it’s been a fantastic eight years, not only for the progressive dream of a better tomorrow, but also for the amazing poise and grace the First Family brought to the White House. Eight years of the type of family we want to present as the American Dream. And much of that is due to First Lady Michelle Obama.
Michelle O, as the fashionistas style her, has been the Jackie Kennedy of our generation. Her choices of designers made household names out of Jason Wu, Thom Browne and Tracey Reese. Her very arms inspired women to take to the gym and do extra reps of bicep curls.
But unlike Jackie O, whose reign as first lady did not even last two years, when her husband was assassinated in 1963, we had Michelle O for eight whole years. Nine, if you the 2008 election season where she was out there on the stump campaigning for her husband. (Such things were just not done in Jackie’s day.)
So, on this, the last day of the Michelle O Fashion Administration, we run down some of the best looks from over her time in the spotlight. Come, let’s hit memory lane, shall we?
