So you’re here for the Women’s March On Washington. Take this opportunity to see some of the great stuff the Nation’s Capital has to offer!

If you’re planning to be in D.C. for more than just a day for the Women’s March On Washington, I have some recommendations for how you should spend your time. Whether you’re into art, science, history, volunteering, music, books or the great outdoors, there is so much for you to do while you’re here. Most of the museums and galleries around the National Mall are FREE.

And then there are restaurants. You have to eat, and D.C. offers any kind of food you could want, for any budget. Whether you want to experience dining at one of our celebrity chef restaurants, or are looking for comforting and tasty international cuisine, you’re in so much luck.

If you’re into sports, you’re a bit out of luck. From what I can tell, hockey is the only sport in season right now. You can always get Caps tickets. And watching burly men beat each other up will make for a nice symbolic contrast to the rest of your weekend. If you’re still here on Monday, it’s the Caps vs. the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:30 at the Verizon Center. Plenty of tickets are still available at all prices. And the Verizon Center is smack in the middle of the city, a few short steps from the White House.
