5 Reasons Why We’ll Miss Michelle Obama as FLOTUS
By I. A. Melton
1. FLOTUS as a Trend Setter
Michelle Obama is one of the best dressed first ladies this country has seen since Jackie Kennedy. That’s not hyperbole; it’s just a fact. Her soft but elegant everyday mom-style is a hit with everyone. Let’s not get it twisted; she can rock a Narciso Rodriguez gown with chandelier earrings and high heels, and that would make even superstar Beyoncé drool. Be that as it may, you can tell she feels the most comfortable in her cardigan, skinny jeans, and flats.
She recently talked sat down with InStyle to talk about her fashion inspiration and here’s what she had to say.
"“I tend not to worry about the trends, because what works for an 18-year-old selfie queen may not for a 52-year-old First Lady who is a mom of teenagers she is trying to be a good role model for.”"
That’s easy for her to say when in fact she is actually setting a mom-style trend that is not only affordable but that we all can aspire to.
