His Speech To SHIELD Agents in The Winter Soldier

Sure, you could lump motivational speeches in with words of wisdom, but these take up more than just a poster. The Cap is a man of many inspiring words and we have to make sure to cover all our bases.

Maybe it’s just that he has such a way with words to get everyone around him inspired. The best example of this is his speech to the SHIELD agents towards the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Let me set it up for you: Cap’s been a fugitive from SHIELD for the majority of the movie. He knows Hydra has infiltrated SHIELD over the last seven decades. He knows who’s behind it. To get things under control, he needs people on his side, people who have his back.

What’s his goal? He needs to convince a lot of people that he’s not who SHIELD claims he is. He also needs to wipe away the fear that it could be anyone in the building fighting against them.

What makes it so perfect is Falcon’s reaction at the end, asking if Cap had written it down first or if it was just off the top of his head.

He’s definitely good with his words.
