His Heart-to-Heart with Black Widow
No, Natasha Romanoff still does not have her own standalone movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, we did get to peer into her psyche for a bit in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as she got a little real with Captain America.
This is after they discover that Hydra has been slowly festering within SHIELD since the 1940s and then being attacked by SHIELD and nearly crushed under a secret base. They hide in Falcon’s house and come to terms with what just happened.
She admits to Cap that she thought she was going straight when she joined SHIELD, but now it looks like she just traded in the KGB for Hydra.
“If it was the other way around, and it was down to me to save your life, now, you be honest with me, would you trust me to do it?” she asks, and you can tell she wants an honest answer but she also wants to be lied to.
“I do now,” he says, and it’s about as brutally honest as he can be. Cap isn’t the kind to explode in a rage, even if the situation permits. It blatantly screams “I didn’t trust you before now!” Which is what she needed to hear.
