10. Owen Hunt

I love this guy. Not more than I love the nine other doctors who beat him, but he’s good people.

Owen Hunt didn’t mean to be pure and Weasley-like, but like the other war veteran who arrived in Seattle, Owen simply did his best and made everyone fall in love with him because he’s a good person.

As a trauma surgeon, Owen dealt with a lot of crazy stuff, which caused him to deal with PTSD. But through his relationship with Cristina, he was patient, albeit a little confused. Especially when Teddy arrived. But he tried to be honest and do the right thing (similar to George’s situation), except that Owen’s excuse was a little more sympathetic. He lost his entire platoon in the Iraq War, so he gets an extra inch of wiggle room to mess up.

As a surgeon, though, Owen demonstrates the most patience amongst the staff at the hospital. It’s probably due to the fact that he always knows things could be worse. Also, he tries to impart this wisdom to everyone at the hospital, so they can always be prepared for the worst. But he also appreciates everyone’s own specialties and skills, which manifests in how easily he gets on with children.

He’s just a big Scottish teddy bear, so he gets to break top ten.
