President Obama’s Farewell Address Was What We Needed

President Obama gave his farewell address last night, and it was emotional and exactly what the country needed to hear.
Last night President Barack Obama gave a very emotional and impassioned farewell speech in Chicago. While President Obama faced many challenges of his eight years in office, he also had significant achievements. Getting to revisit our accomplishments really makes you understand how lucky we are to have had President Obama at this point and time of our lives.
And being the man he is, he flat out told the people what are the greatest threats to our democracy. He also paid tribute to his family, supporters, and colleagues and asks them to keep fighting because it is worth it.

President Obama is known to be an optimistic orator, and that showed last night. Some of the highlights came when he spoke about his achievements but also point out the significant threat to our society is the inability to unify. He also discussed how important that we become part of part of the solution by committing to public service and become part of the process. President Obama’s believes it’s up to this generation to preserve and protect what has been accomplished during his time as President. We could not agree more.
In the past eight years, President Obama has been in office many have been downright vicious, but I know that history will be much kinder. He left this country in a better state than when he was given charge of it. We owe the Obama’s a debt of gratitude we can’t begin to repay.

So what do we do now? You get active in the political process and be the change President Obama thinks we can be. Maybe, just maybe we can make the next four years not as unendurable we once thought.
