Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs Exist, But Not For Americans
By Ani Bundel
There’s a new flavor of Cadbury Creme Egg for 2017, based on the Oreo cookie, but right now, you cannot get them in America.
There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who live for Cadbury Creme Eggs and the ones who retch at the very thought. To be fair, more fall into the later category all the time. There was a time when the creme inside the Cadbury creme egg was far more “creme” and far less “liquidy ejaculate” in consistency, and whoever thought the change from the former to the latter was a good move should be taken out back when the revolution comes.
In desperation to pull fans of the Easter staple back to the fold, Cadbury has started experimenting and remixing their products with already recognizable flavors. This follows in the footsteps of chocolatiers and snack makers in America have been doing since the early aughts. (Swedish Fish Flavored Oreos, we’re looking at you.) To that end, they released a brand new flavor for 2017.
There’s just one problem—they aren’t shipping it to America.
Note the inside of the egg is far more like the original consistency of the interior of a Cadbury egg, before the ill conceived choice to alter it. Since that is the actual problem with today’s Cadbury eggs, this is quite an exciting development, even if it means we have to take them in Oreo flavor. (Personally I don’t mind it, but I’m sure there’s some who would.)

Unfortunately, Cadbury does not seem to have realized that if they don’t release them in America, their reputation as one of the grossest candies of the Easter season will remain intact, and continue to only sell them in Canada and the UK. This should not be allowed to stand. Hopefully executives will come to their senses promptly and rectify this oversight.
