Daveed Diggs is a national treasure and now you can listen to him rap to the Rubber Duckie song on Sesame Street. And it’s something you need in your life.

Tony award winning performer Daveed Diggs stole hearts as Hamilton‘s original Lafayette and Jefferson. Women love him, men want to be him, and now, children can sing along to his music. Before, his songs were limited to his new rap album, some demos he had, and the original Broadway cast recording of Hamilton: An American Musical.

Recently, Daveed lent his voice and rap abilities to Sesame Street. Honestly, it seems like the Sesame Street celebrity guests are more for the adults than the children who actually watch it. But Mr. Diggs gave us this new rendition of “Rubber Duckie” that has Hamilton fans screaming for joy.

And now, it’s all anyone can talk about. Especially his former cast mates from the hit Broadway musical that broke records with its amount of Tony nominations. Even Lin-Manuel Miranda knows what’s important about this. Now, whenever we want, we can listen to Daveed singing the “Rubber Duckie” song.

And really, anything that has Lin-Manuel Miranda excited has all of his fans excited too. Plus if that excitement is about Daveed Diggs, it is just an added bonus. The world should have more Daveed in it and if this is the first step, then we’re excited for whatever comes next. Even if it is more Sesame Street.
