Comedies always run the risk of being repeatedly the same year after year. For one, Modern Family had won time and time again for years. It doesn’t seem like there is much of a change this year but at least they are amazing shows.

Veep is one of the best shows we have on television. It is so funny and is so quick with its political commentary. Especially now in today’s political climate, Veep proves to be on top of its game.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy

Jeffrey Tambor wins time and time again for his role in Transparent. In his speech at the Emmys last year, he said that he wanted to be the last man to win an award for playing a transgendered woman but the Golden Globes are probably going to give him another award this year. He is amazing on the show too.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy

Rachel Bloom stars and writes for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It is a wonderful show and Rachel does a great job with Rebecca Bunch, so she definitely deserves to win this one! Granted, she might not since she is up against Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
