The musical and comedy category is filled with wonderful movies and it is going to be a harder category than normal. But it does seem as if La La Land might take home all the awards tonight.

La La Land is a wonderful musical about Mia and Seb and their struggle to balance between their careers and their relationship. It is a wonderful movie and, with just competing against other musicals and comedies, it is definitely going to win.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy

Emma Stone in La La Land is going to win simply for her audition scene. It is absolutely incredible and heartbreaking because this woman works so hard and doesn’t get what she wants for so long that when she is finally on the right track, you just feel so much for her.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy

To follow on the La La Land train, Ryan Gosling is probably going to win Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture. He brings a kind of understanding to Seb that is just absolutely incredible.

Best Director, Motion Picture

Damien Chazelle for La La Land is definitely going to take the Globe home. The movie is mainly shot in the golden hour and has beautiful sweeping camera shots and really makes you fall in love with Los Angeles. The whole movie is incredible and really should win everything it’s nominated for.

Best Original Score, Motion Picture

The music of La La Land might not be to everyone’s tastes, but it surely is special. There is just something so amazing about it and, to be honest, it is catchy.
