Just a day after Coachella announced their annual music festival in the desert, the Governors Ball music festival announced their 2017 lineup.
There’s no Beyoncé on the bill but the 7th year of the Governors Ball music festival at Randall’s Island Park in New York City has announced their lineup just a day after Coachella. The two festivals are on opposite coasts and several months apart but both announced stellar 2017 lineups full of amazing musicians.
Tool, Chance the Rapper, and Phoenix will headline the Governors Ball with other high-profile performers like Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino, Lorde, Wu-Tang Clan, and Mark Ronson also on the lineup. Are you in yet?

As much as the headliners of Governors Ball 2017 are pretty epic, there are also smaller names on the lineup that deserve a mention. Personal favorites Bleachers, Banks, and Charli XCX will all be performing. As well as Judah & the Lion, Royal Blood, Local Natives, Phantogram, and Franz Ferdinand. And that’s just a small list of who will be there. With such a huge variety of artists, there’s bound to be a few surprises too.
Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino have been hanging out lately, so will they end up on stage together?
Who knows what surprises are in store for Governors Ball since it’s NYC location certainly makes it easy for anyone and everyone to drop by the festival–which runs June 2-4, 2017.
