Growing up, we all had to endure the loathsome nature of Dolores Umbridge and Lord Voldemort so it’s no wonder we mostly all hate Trump.
Donald Trump is now America’s president and many are very angry with this result. Why? Well, first off, he is racist, homophobic, sexist and xenophobic. And, to be quite honest, his Twitter is going to get everyone in serious trouble with other countries.
But there is something even more interesting about a lot of the people who hate Trump: Most of us are fans of the Harry Potter series. Maybe it is because we grew up watching Harry fight people like Donald time and time again.
From Umbridge to Voldemort, Harry Potter knew better than anyone else about how someone with the views that Donald has can be terrible if put in charge. And so, here we are. Trump supporters are definitely like the Death Eaters because they will blindly follow their leader.
I say that because Donald could probably kill someone in front of them all and they’d find ways to justify it. Now, I’m not saying that all his supporters are like the Death Eaters. Maybe just the ones who go around spouting hatred or the ones who are literally KKK members.
But no matter your political views, this isn’t the first comparison Trump has gotten to a villain from the Harry Potter series. Over the course of the election, he was continually called Voldemort. And honestly, for good reason. Mainly because he is an evil man who probably split his soul apart to live forever. He is 70 after all.

So, no matter who you voted for, this is just a humoring look at the terrible election that plagued all of 2016. If we can’t laugh about the fact that we put Voldemort into power, what can we do?
