A new high end gown from the Carnovsky Collection is designed to change not only colors but expose different prints when under different shades of light.

Technology keeps changing as the decades progress. Fashion is one of the few artistic industries still working to play catch up for the new possibilities these developments have to offer. From 3D clothing to wearable LEDs to printers that can create jewelry designs on a whim, it can feel like the fashion industry is overwhelmed with choices.

The latest innovation comes to us via the Carnovsky Collection which has developed a fabric print designed not only to reflect the color of light that it’s being exposed to, but also to visually highlight different prints under different deep shades of blue, green and red.

"Created as a collaboration between Nuvango and the Italian design duo Carnovsky, this couture gown is an exclusive work created as an extension of RGB: A VOYAGE. From the gallery walls to the catwalk, your body is the canvas for this ethereal and enchanting piece."

It’s surprising that more collections haven’t thought of this before, with the possibilities of lighting as technology being nearly a decade old. That’s especially true with the advent of LEDs, which are now an industry standard across most applications, including rock and roll shows, theater and fashion shows. The ability to have deep colors that are still able to produce enough lumens to be able to see the gowns in question should have made this a no-brainer years ago.
