Coachella 2017’s Lineup Has Beyoncé, Radiohead, and More

For those of us who don’t necessarily pay attention to music festivals, Coachella is trying to lure us in with names like Beyoncé and Radiohead.

I’ll admit something here. Honestly, I had rather forgotten that Coachella was still an actual music festival. Apparently, it seems that others have also forgotten, and so the organizers of Coachella have taken it upon themselves to remind us that yes, actual music happens at the yearly festival.

To wit, they released the lineup today. We tip our hats to Uproxx.

Yup, that’s Beyoncé’s name in very large letters. She’ll handle the Saturday, Apr. 15 and 22 dates of the festivals. Radiohead will headline the two Friday dates, and Kendrick Lamar will take over on the two Sundays.

Additionally, this week’s Tune for Tuesday band, The xx, will actually also perform. Additionally, acts like Lorde, New Order, Travis Scott, Empire of the Sun, DJ Shadow, Mura Masa, and more will appear. Honestly, the lineup is huge. There’s almost certainly something for you if you’re thinking about going…though if you can’t afford it, Coachella did stream live last year. It seems reasonable to assume that that’ll happen again this year.

(For a list with larger font, Coachella’s website has you covered. Do our eyes spot the name Hans Zimmer listed? As in, you know, the composer?)

You may also want to prepare yourself to buy passes now. According to the festival’s official website, they go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 11:00 a.m. PST. A general admission pass will run you $399. Want a shuttle pass as well? You’ll need to cough up an additional $75. For a VIP Pass, you’ll need $899. Hope you’ve been saving your pennies.

For more information about how to handle the festival, the website has additional information about things like camping and parking.
