Bruce Springsteen Strikes Again With His Hatred of Donald Trump

During the presidential campaigns of 2016, Bruce Springsteen was not afraid to call out candidate Donald Trump. And that hatred continues.

During the 2016 presidential race, one of the surprise Clinton supporters was none other than the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. He rallied behind the Democratic nominee and made sure his voice was heard to his fans and everyone who was questioning who to vote for.

Since then, Bruce has not remained silent. He’s continually talked about his hatred of Trump and his views on the man. He’s said that Trump is a ‘toxic narcissist’ in an interview with the U.K’s Channel 4 News.

He continued on to say “he does have a lot of people’s ears, and I don’t think he’s going to go quietly, gently into the good night. I think he’s going to make as big a mess as he can, and I don’t know what that’s going to mean, but we’ll find out shortly.”

WTF with Marc Maron

Recently on WTF,  the Marc Maron podcast, Springsteen explained why he thought Trump got elected. He talked about the kind of people who voted for him and why Trump’s ideals can be dangerous.

“When you let that genie out of the bottle — bigotry, racism, intolerance… they don’t go back in the bottle that easily if they go back in at all,” Bruce explained. “Whether it’s a rise in hate crimes, people feeling they have license to speak and behave in ways that previously were considered un-American and are un-American. That’s what he’s appealing to. My fears are that those things find a place in ordinary, civil society.”

But Bruce proved, once again, why he is one of America’s great icons. “America is still America. I’m still believe in its ideals, and I’m going to do my best to play my very, very small part in maintaining those things.”
