Again, another Spring Awakening boy has made the list. Yes, I might be impartial because I love the musical, but it also calls for a cast of hot boys to play the students. So, you can’t really blame me. Austin P. McKenzie took on the role as Melchior Gabor and stole the hearts of people everywhere. Or maybe just the people who saw the show. Who knows!?

But what I do know is this: That man came out of the stage door looking like James Dean and I was a goner. He is beautiful and talented and so sweet, and though he’s a little strange (I mean, I’m almost positive he is James Dean reincarnated), he wowed us all with his take on the lead character of Spring Awakening.

He hasn’t really done much else, but we hope that Austin will continue to star in Broadway shows. He’s not the strongest singer in the world, but he makes up for it with his commitment to the character he is portraying as well as his understanding of the text.

Melchoir Gabor can very easily be a character who the audience hates, but Austin made sure we felt something for him and that is why Austin makes the list.
