7. Roseanne – TV Land – 3 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Here’s another show I remember growing up seeing, only for it to end up on a network like TV Land. It’s just the curse of getting older as we hurl through space on this piece of rock we call Earth. Roseanne was one of the first shows that showed a real glimpse into the life of an average American blue collar family. It revolves around the Conners, an Illinois working-class family just trying to keep afloat in an ever-changing world. The show was also one of the first to portray a working mother who did so independently from her husband. And for a show that was popular in the early ’90s, it helped push the portrayal of homosexuality on TV into the light, doing so with a wonderfully comedic twist.

Starting at 3:00 a.m. Saturday and ending at 4:00 p.m., this marathon starts you off towards the end of Season 4 and goes until pretty much the end of Season 5. There were 9 total seasons of the show, so if you can’t get enough of this 12-hour marathon, there’s plenty more where these came from.

Even though Roseanne Barr has never had a problem expressing how she feels and has some. Let’s call them eccentric outbursts from time to time, this is a light-hearted kind of marathon we think you can get behind.
