16. Alaskan Bush People – Discovery Channel – 5 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday

Surviving the vast Alaskan wilderness is no easy feat, but the Brown family makes it look like a blast. Sort of. If you like TV shows that follow a large, eccentric family with plenty of drama mixed in, put this Discovery Channel show on your list. You can watch a whole marathon of Alaskan Bush People starting at 5:00 p.m. Saturday until 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

Billy Brown, his wife Ami, and their seven grown children live totally off the grid in rural Alaska. The area is called the Copper River Valley, and winter temperatures there can dip to 60 degrees below zero. In-show, they dub themselves the “wolf pack,” even coming up with their own dialect to communicate with basically each other (and the camera crew).

There are rumors that the show is highly exaggerated and faked to some degree. Even Radar Online follows this fa.m.ily pretty extensively, and we’re learning the show may be in for another season, only if the patriarch Billy isn’t part of it anymore! But if you take the show at face value as just an entertaining outlet starring an oddball family that isn’t the crew from Duck Dynasty, you’re sure to have a good time with this marathon.
