9. Game of Thrones – HBO2 – Begins at 12 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Reliving this show is always a pleasure, as I’ve rewatched it about three times already, front to back. Game of Thrones sends you on a whirlwind of emotions, no matter what season you choose. And recently, HBO thought you needed to see it all again as well. To ring in the new year, the premium network decided to re-air a season a day until New Year’s Eve.
The marathon actually began Dec. 26. HBO2 aired Season 1 from start to finish. Starting today at 12:00 p.m., you can catch the entirety of Season 5, one of the darkest seasons in the whole series. See it all, from “The Wars to Come” all the way to “Mother’s Mercy” until 10:00 p.m., when the movies come back on. Tomorrow, New Year’s Eve, you can relive all of Season 6 starting at the same time.
Once again, Game of Thrones was named the most pirated show all year. So it’s our duty to encourage you to watch this marathon legally and with honor. It’s basically all we can do until Season 7 kicks off sometime next summer. Winter is already here for us and for all in the Thrones-verse, and it’s shaping up to be a long one.
