45. Hillary on the Future

"The worst thing that can happen in a democracy–as well as in an individual’s life–is to become cynical about the future and lose hope: that is the end, and we cannot let that happen."

Most millennials, who represent the future of America, supported Hillary. Donald Trump was largely seen as a candidate for older, less in-touch Americans, which gave the impression he didn’t care about the young people of the country.

While that is not fact, it still brings up a good point about why Hillary is amazing. She knows that we cannot lose hope in the future because if we do, then that will bring on the end to the America (and world) we know and love.

Say what you want about Hillary but she knows how to inspire with her words. She focuses in on the issues at hand and makes sure we know exactly what we should be doing. In this case, we should be supporting the future. We cannot become cynical. The minute we do. we’re done for.

So go out there and look for the brightness that lies ahead. Do it for Hillary because she’s right. We have to believe that the future is there and good.
