19. Be True to You

"You have to be true to yourself. You have to be enough in touch with who you are and what you want, how you want to live and what’s important to you, to make your decisions based on that. Sometimes that’s very difficult."

A lot of us make decisions in our lives based on what is easy. The clearer path makes it all easier to handle. So we go down what is right before us rather than fighting for what we truly want.

But Hillary inspires us to go after what is important to us. It might not be the easy path but we have to be true to who we are. If we’re not, then we can’t ever really be happy can we?

If you don’t honor yourself and who you are, you can never really succeed. You have to make sure you are who you are meant to be in order to be the happiest you can be.

Hillary Clinton taught us that. She never changed who she was. Yes, her policies changed and her issues shifted to what was important at the time but Hillary herself remained the same intelligent woman through it all. We never lost any of her.
