20. The Struggles She’s Faced as a Woman
Being a woman is hard in general. We always have to deal with people telling us we’re emotional and asking if it is our time of the month. It is just how the world is and it sucks. But Hillary showed us that we can prove to everyone and ourselves that women are just as important as men are.
Having a strong woman running for the highest office in the United States showed so many little girls that wanting to be president wasn’t just some idiotic pipedream. As a girl in the United States, many of us wrote that we wanted to be the first woman president on our dream notebooks as kids.
Many of us took different paths but we all had that thought. We wanted to be important and we wanted to be in charge. The men told us we couldn’t be either of those things. But now, we never have to second guess ourselves again. Hillary showed us that we, as women, can do anything we want.
She inspired us to strive for greatness and Hillary made it okay to dream big. We can do anything we put our minds to and no one can tell us no.
