22. The First Debate

Before that first debate, everyone was worried about what would happen. Would Donald Trump prove himself as a worthy candidate? Would something come out about Hillary’s emails? What actually happened was even better.

Hillary stood to the side and let Donald Trump dig his own grave. She let him talk and ramble and prove that, once again, he has no idea what he is doing. She stood there and let him talk his way into nothingness.

Clearly half the country didn’t care and villainize her even though she didn’t do anything but let him talk himself in circles. She let him show why he wasn’t qualified for the job and didn’t force anything. And it was absolutely remarkable.

Hillary Clinton could have easily shown us all how terrible he is and how unfit but instead, she let him do it himself. That is so powerful and inspiring because rather than fighting, she let him be his own downfall.

Because of that, Hillary truly showed her brilliance at that debate. She made it clear that we, as women, don’t have to push to prove our worth. We can just let the crazy men talk themselves in circles and prove that we’re better than them that way.
