33. Hillary on Growing as a Person

"You know, everybody has setbacks in their life, and everybody falls short of whatever goals they might set for themselves. That’s part of living and coming to terms with who you are as a person."

Hillary has grown as a person right before our eyes. From the intelligent First Lady, to the amazing first woman to win the Democratic nomination, Hillary has shown us time and time again who is she as a person.

And with that comes the amazing knowledge that we all are the same. We all have goals and dreams and though sometimes they do not work out, that is just part of living and we have to deal with that in our own ways.

Hillary is right. Who we are as a person is easily defined by how we take setbacks. If we accept them easily and change our course because of them, then we are not as strong as we had hoped. But if we don’t accept it easily and we fight for our dreams and beliefs, we can succeed and become the person we want to be.

Hillary inspires us to take those setbacks in our stride and continue to make ourselves the person we want to be.
