37. Her on Not Looking Back

"Every moment wasted looking back, keeps us from moving forward…In this world and the world of tomorrow, we must go forward together or not at all."

With the result of the election and everything that has happened afterwards, the country is divided and continues to be so. But Hillary urges everyone to move forward together. And while we don’t want to, her words inspire us to at least try and make this country a better place for everyone.

The problem with Trump’s message that Hillary tried to combat is that he was there for the straight white male. He was their ally. Hillary was everyone else’s.

So us coming together under a Trump leadership is not likely. But we can come together to make our America (the America that accepts everyone) great still. We can bound together and push out Trump’s racist, homophobic, sexist, and xenophobic ideals away and focus on what this country is really supposed to be about.

We owe that much to Hillary. She will always be there to help this country, but we have to come together to move forward. If we don’t, we are going to be continually stuck in this whole and fighting non stop.
