Meanwhile, on the “rookie” side, none of the contestants could keep up with the veterans, and fact that was painfully obvious when the very last of them went home voluntarily during Top 5 Week after being the only newbie left for two episodes. It was sort of tragic, really, because if the rookies had really been given a chance, Lyma could have had a good run. As it is, the best look of the season for the newbie side goes to her Earth Mother Goddess with see-thru pregnancy belly and luscious treelike hair.

At a first glance, it did seem to be all hair and belly. Once you look past those details and get a look at the face close up, the edging around the cowl was a stand out. Unfortunately, though the tree trunk leggings looked like an artistic vision of bark style leggings to come, the costume bits look like a retread of her earlier work on Lady Eggaga. But the belly, with the stuffed bunny sitting inside it doesn’t look like a toy in  cellophane — which was the worry as she was creating it. The choice to go with a pregnant silhouette was gutsy, and one no one else had the nerve to aim for. Glenn called the rabbit as a fertility symbol “genius.” Too bad she lost out the week to (natch!) Laura Tyler.
