3. William

William is the reluctant player in his game. He comes into Westworld and doesn’t want to take part in all the sex and drinking and murder that goes on there. He just wants to explore and find out all that he can about the different storylines.

Or, at least, that’s what we think. William starts the story as someone different. He doesn’t want to murder and do the things he can’t in the real world. But as the story goes on, we see that he might be just the same as everyone else. In fact, he might be worse.

He gets lost in the storylines and of the hosts, and he wants to be involved. He wants to just get to the very base level of the game at no matter the cost. You know how we know that? Because William is the Man in Black when he first gets to Westworld. Spoiler alert but honestly, it wasn’t too big a twist if you watched the first three episodes. (I would know, I figured it out in the first three episodes.)

But William in the beginning is a man who just wants to explore the game. He wants to be a part of it and it slowly reveals his true nature.
