Boss Nass and the Gungans
Yes, there’s one Gungan in particular who really hits a nerve in the Star Wars fandom. But that’s only because he has the most screentime. The reality is that all the Gungans are annoying.
Especially Boss Nass, the largest Gungan of them all who wore an unprecedented amount of ceremonial garbs for someone that lived underwater.
Still, why is Boss Nass so large? Did he hoard food for himself like Marie Antoinette? Was he the Marie Antoinette of the Star Wars universe? If we dedicate our lifetimes to talking trash about Boss Nass, he could be our Marie Antoinette.
Also, why didn’t he try to help Naboo before?
Even if he didn’t like the oppression, allowing Naboo to crumble wasn’t the answer. Apparently, the “normal” people of Naboo acted a little mean toward the Gungans, but maybe if Boss Nass kept his floppy-eared, walking catfish in check, people would take them more seriously. Instead, they live under the water like mutated tadpoles and produce things like Mr. Binks.
The accents were terrible, too. Yet, that wasn’t the most offensive thing about them.
