Sometimes you have to look at the bad characters to appreciate all the good ones, so here are ten characters that make Star Wars a little harder to watch.

At this time, Star Wars encompasses seven movies and one spin-off. Of course, there are going to be bits and pieces that don’t work out right because, hello, it’s a really big franchise. There will always be heated debates and characters that outshine the others.

Obviously, some characters are little more despised than others. On the other hand, some are just as iconic but equally annoying. Unfortunately, there are certain characters who appear in a scene and warrant a collective eyeroll from the audience.

Considering that Star Wars takes place in such an expansive galaxy, we were bound to meet a few aliens and lifeforms along the way who just didn’t match the charm and likability of other beloved characters. Or rather, behaved so ignorantly that the sent the galaxy spinning into chaos. Not everyone can be a Han Solo or Obi-Wan Kenobi.

But Star Wars is Star Wars, so we have to take the good with the bad. And we have to celebrate even the most grating characters.
