25 reasons we’re naming Sansa Stark the Queen in the North

21. She’s naturally inclined towards warfare

For a teenager, Sansa certainly is adept at the ways of the world. She has an uncanny ability to read people and translate that skill into real-life scenarios. Which is why she was included at the roundtable discussion about the upcoming battle for Winterfell (“The Door”). Sansa works with Jon and Ser Davos to gather more men for the siege (though she lies about where she learned information about The Blackfish, we’ll let that slide for now). She makes it clear to Ser Davos that her name carries a lot of weight in the North, and she’s ready to prove herself in the proper circumstance.

Sansa still has some confidence to build in the leadership arena. When the men are discussing battle formations right before the battle for Winterfell (“Battle of the Bastards”), she hangs back until everyone has left the tent. If she had spoken up and given some insight into how Ramsay’s mind operates, the others may have been able to work with that. Then again, Jon didn’t give her the chance to speak either. Once they learn to trust each other a little more, they may become an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

In the meantime, both are going to have to deal with Littlefinger, who will inevitably want to be paid back for bringing his Vale knights to the fight just in the nick of time.
