15. She can deal with crazy people

Sansa is a good conversationalist. She’s approachable, kind, and sweet. That kind of personality is easy to talk to, and someone who you could accidentally reveal your true colors to. That’s made crystal clear in this scene from Season 4’s “First of His Name.” Lady Arryn becomes unhinged at the notion that Littlefinger has a little more than a crush on Sansa. But before she can really hurt Sansa, she’s able to quell her aunt’s anger with some of that trademark quick thinking. She says Petyr thinks she’s nothing more than a “stupid girl,” which calms down Lysa. This just shows how well Sansa can articulate herself enough to rein in anyone who may be trying to hurt her.

One of the worst forms of crazy Sansa had to deal with was the pure psychological (and physical) torture courtesy of Lord Ramsay Bolton. The guy was an absolute madman, but Sansa discovered the best tactic was to keep quiet and let him speak. A guy like that will talk and talk to anyone who wants to listen, spilling all his twisted secrets. This allowed her to get a peek into his mind, which she made mention of before Jon led the charge on Winterfell (“Battle of the Bastards”).

Knowing how the enemy thinks has its perks, and what Sansa learned from living with a crazy guy like Ramsay could actually help her negotiation skills in the future as well.
