25 Star Wars characters who deserve a spinoff

2. Han Solo

We can hear you already telling us about how Han Solo has already gotten a spinoff movie of his own, and that it’ll be coming out in 2018, and that Emilia Clarke will be in it, and so on and so forth.

Well, actually, we already know. We talked briefly about it during our reasoning for giving Lando Calrissian his own spinoff series. We rejoiced when we got the news that it would be made. Here’s why Han still features on this list.

Until we see actual footage of Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, in which he admirably fills the shoes of Harrison Ford, we will still want a Han Solo spinoff movie.

For example, Anthony Ingruber has effectively already earned the approval of Harrison Ford. He’s also a massive Han Solo fan and basically a dead ringer for a young and slightly-less-scruffy version of our favorite nerf herder. The movie isn’t scheduled to come out until 2018 anyway. There’s still time, right?

However, we’re not saying that Ehrenreich can’t fill the role. We’re simply saying that we don’t know if he can, and the road will be tough for him to win the approval of Star Wars fans everywhere.
