As if this Grey’s Anatomy star hasn’t already won us over by her role as Arizona Robbins’ better half, she spoke at the 40 to None Summit this past October and revealed a little known fact about her that she shares with Callie Torres: she’s bisexual. She also identifies with a lot of minority groups. In her speech , she said, “Because of the intersections that exist in my own life: Woman, multi-racial woman, woman of color, queer, bisexual, Mexican-Irish American, immigrant, and raised by families heavily rooted in Catholicism on both my Mexican & Irish sides, I am deeply invested in projects that allow our youth’s voices to be heard, and that support our youth in owning their own complex narratives so that we can show up for them in the ways they need us to.” She’s never been shy to voice her opinions and has a smile that could kill you.

This American soccer player and world cup champion is not only winning hearts on the field. She’s winning the hearts of fans and viewers across the world as she gracefully yet ferociously gives her all to reach any goal. In 2015, she represented the United States at the FIFA Women’s World Cup but it didn’t end there. She earned herself 2nd in the team’s scoring list that year. While her accomplishments in her career speak for themselves, it’s easy to see why she also made it on this year’s hottest women list with a face like that one.
