12. Jango Fett
(And Other Ineffectual Bounty Hunters like Zam Wessell. Sorry, Greedo.)
Of course, Jango Fett serves a very important purpose in the Clone Wars. He provided the genetic model for all the clones, but couldn’t Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus have just as easily found someone else to do the job?
While overseeing the growth of the clone army, Jango Fett only dabbled in bounty hunting while also raising his son, who became the most well-known bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe.
Now, Jango Fett did have the opportunity to really make a name for himself. He was hired by Nute Gunray to assassinate Senator Amidala, but he failed to do that, too. Though, his legacy continued after his death due to Boba’s wish to avenge him.
Unfortunately, he also died in a rather lame way. As Mace Windu rushed toward him in the Geonosis arena, Jango Fett just stood there like an idiot. He put too much faith in his blaster when he should’ve done a barrel roll or something.
Still, he made Mandalorian armor iconic. Similarly, Zam Wessell gave us that dope Galactic City “car chase.”
