13. General (Armitage) Hux

Now, this is a somewhat cartoonish character. But the faces he makes while delivering his speech on Starkiller Base is everything to me.

"“Today is the end of the Republic. The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder. At this very moment in a system far from here, the New Republic lies to the galaxy while secretly supporting the treachery of the loathsome Resistance. This fierce machine, which you have built, upon which we stand will bring an end to the Senate, to their cherished fleet. All remaining systems will bow to the First Order and will remember this day as the last day of the Republic!”"

Assuming he mimics a character we’ve seen before, General Hux is like the new-and-improved Grand Moff Tarkin. However, he’s not nearly as menacing. Further, it’s obvious that General Hux has no say in what Kylo Ren does. They’re more like equals or bickering siblings, unlike Tarkin, who at one point, tells Darth Vader to cut it out.

At the end of The Force Awakens, Supreme Leader Snoke commanded Hux to save Kylo Ren, so we know he escaped Starkiller Base before it blew up. General Tarkin didn’t make it past A New Hope. Most likely, Hux will continue his rise to power in Episode VIII. Plus, if we see Kylo Ren redeem himself and return to the Light Side, Hux will be the only one serving the Supreme Leader.
