14. General Grievous
While I called Captain Phasma the biggest disappointment, General Grievous stands really close to her. Not just because they’re both really tall, either. Of course, Phasma still has an opportunity to redeem herself, but Grievous came and went. The only thing that earns him a higher spot on the list is that he’s a cyborg and Dooku taught him how to use a lightsaber.
Well, four.
Now, most audiences know Grievous from his appearance in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. But he also appeared in the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Through these appearances, we also learned that Grievous first felt resentment towards Count Dooku. Upon being outfitted as a cyborg, Grievous felt contempt toward his droid-like appearance. Formerly a Jedi-hunter from the planet of Kalee, Grievous was swept into the Separatist movement by Count Dooku to serve as a powerful political ally.
Despite learning to respect Count Dooku’s efforts, Grievous also had some plans of his own. He was a shrewd and ruthless strategist who, with more screentime in the saga films and maybe some Force-sensitivity, could’ve moved a lot higher on this list.
