Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN)

in October, audio from 2005 was released of President-Elect Donald Trump saying on a hot mic that he wanted to, “Grab her by the p*ssy.” He was referring to a married woman and later said that because he was a celebrity, “You can do anything.” 

His statements are disgusting and harmful and only lead to the increase of rape culture in this country. Rape is often unreported, made into a punchline, and the victim is usually blamed for the incident.

The mission of RAINN is to push for programs that will prevent sexual violence, help victims, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

RAINN has formed successful partnerships with 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the nation and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense.

The National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) is one of many resources victims of sexual assault have when they need support, information, advice, or a referral from trained support specialists.

RAINN is also dedicated to sexual assault prevention and has published vital information to help the public better understand sexual consent, alcohol safety and how to stay safe online.
