The Native American Rights Fund

The Native American Rights Fund (NARF) has been working for the rights of American Indians since 1971. This non-profit is dedicated to providing legal assistance to Indian tribes, organizations and individuals who may not have access to representation.

"With credibility built over forty-five years of service, NARF has become a respected consultant to policy makers and others engaged in drafting legislation. As a consensus builder, NARF works with religious, civil rights, and other Native American organizations to shape the laws that will help assure the civil and religious rights of all Native Americans."

NARF is headquartered in Boulder, CO with branch offices in Washington, D.C and Anchorage, AK. Their board of directors consists of thirteen Native Americans from various tribes located across the country.

Because NARF offers legal advocacy they have sixteen attorneys that handle dozens of cases. Many of the cases are selected based on their importance and ability to promote positive Indian principles and laws.

Since its inception, NARF has helped thousands of Native American people and made progress by: upholding Native American religious freedoms, protecting voting rights, and keeping ancient tribal traditions legal.
