2016 was a rough year for some of the most vulnerable, underrepresented people in America. Trump’s presidential campaign ignited a voice of hatred against women, Muslims, people of color and immigrants.

Not only was he a vocal advocate against these selected groups of people and causes, he actually won the White House with hateful rhetoric. Although we can’t change the outcome of the presidential election, we can be advocates for positive change in our nation.

Don’t let the beliefs and actions of Donald Trump and his followers silence you. Let that fear, anger and frustration inspire you to help!

None of us know what will happen in 2017. There is so much uncertainty, but a new year is a fresh start. I’m hoping next year (which is only a few short weeks away) will allow us to heal and reignite our passion for positive change.
