Now the store is covered with security and impossible to get to (trust me, I know. It is my favorite place in New York City and Donald Trump has ruined it), but the opening scene of the film is the one that everyone seems to remember. The movie starts with a cab pulling up to Tiffany’s in the early hours of the morning.

Out steps a beautiful woman in a long black dress, gloves, a tiara, sunglasses and holding her breakfast. We know nothing about her at this point, just that she is staring into the windows of the famous jewelry store enjoying her Danish and coffee.

For many, it is a must to do when they come to visit New York City. Again, it is now almost impossible to have your Holly Golightly moment since the new President-Elect decided he wanted to live in the city and ruin the lives of everyone. (I do apologize. I am bitter. He is ruining the one thing I love to do most in this city.)

If you do get the chance, there is nothing better than pretending for that one moment that you are Holly. Tiffany’s truly does make you forget whatever problems you have as you stare into those beautiful window displays.
