Haven’t You Ever Stolen Anything From a 5 and 10?

Holly and Paul decide to have a day where they do things they’ve never done before. It starts with Paul drinking champagne before breakfast and continues with Holly being outside earlier than ever before. The entire day sequence is cute and is beginning to establish how their relationship is changing.

In the scene before, Holly tells Paul that if he was rich, she’d marry him in a heartbeat. So throughout the day, the two grow closer and closer building from their journey into Tiffany’s and leading through the library until Holly sees the 5 and 10 store.

She asks Paul if he ever stole anything from on and the following scene is adorable and cute but also brings up a tension between the two that we see follow through in the next moment between them. Both Paul and Holly are realizing that they are falling in love with each other but they are both afraid of it.

Their relationships have always been a means to getting more money to survive and this is something completely different. They are different but also very similar and this scene really shows that. The two are having fun and being childish and it fits them both.
