Veep has an underlying theme of politics and if you don’t pay attention, you may definitely miss them. It is so hard to find the political standing in the show. Because really, this is a show about a woman in power and who cares about that right?

Okay yes, that was sassy and it is actually super easy to find the politics in Veep since that is all the show is about. The entire thing is about Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States, and how she functions in the White House.

Politics are literally the show. If you watch this show and then complain about bringing politics into it, what exactly are you watching? And even worse? This show is very much in theme with the political standings in the United States.

Veep shows the corruption in politics and how terrible people can be. Like Selina. Honestly, she is terrible. But the show is absolutely fantastic and wins award after award when the Emmys and the Golden Globes come around. And for good reason! It is great. But if you don’t want politics in your life…maybe don’t try and watch a show about the Vice President? I don’t know, just a suggestion.
