9. She is Loyal

The biggest upset in season seven of Parks and Recreation was that Leslie and Ron were fighting against each other and not friends anymore. It wasn’t unlike Ron, it was very unlike Leslie. She is a fiercely loyal friend and would do anything for those around her.

She is so loyal that even when she disagrees with the politics of our nation, she is still proud to be an American. In this letter that she wrote after the 2016 election, Leslie proves that she remains as loyal as can be to her home country. Most were upset and said they were not proud. The country was mourning and we got a letter of hope from Leslie Knope.

She told us all that Trump is our present but he is not our future. Leslie Knope gave us a hope that we can be proud of our nation at some point and her loyalty to America and to those around her inspires us all.

Her loyalty makes her an exceptional person. She doesn’t let her views really change her friendships with people (except for her fight with Ron) and it teaches us all that if we are loyal and do what is necessary to keep ourselves truthful, we can do anything.
