Sense8 is a drama made for Netflix that puts LGBT representation and sexuality in the spotlight. The entire cast of characters on this show identifies on the queer spectrum somehow. The show is covering everything you can think of when it comes to being queer. Nomi Marks (Jamie Clayton) is a trans woman dating Amanita, a cis queer woman. Lito Rodriguez (Miguel Silvestre) is a closeted gay dating Hernando (Alfonso Herrera). They’re just ALL QUEER, and what’s not to love about that.

Sense8 is taking us into a world where sexuality is never questioned, it’s not what defines the characters. Their relationship defines them (as any relationship would define a person), but it’s not geared to what gender their significant other is. It’s showcasing true stories, strong characters, and fans are more than happy with the outcome.
