Paige and Bredeweg are the co-creators behind Freeform’s The Fosters, or as I like to call it, the best damn show on television right now. First of all, what other show features a lesbian couple as the main characters? Second of all, what other show makes that lesbian couple the least questionable plot line that they cover? Third of all, what show is taking all of this and showcasing it on a family-friendly TV station geared for a younger crowd? I could keep going…

The show centers on Lena (Sherri Saum) and Stef Adams-Foster (Teri Polo) and covers every social issue from gun control to sexuality. It’s a breath of fresh air, taking these honest stories and portraying them for families to see. Paige and Bredeweg were passionate about getting this script on screen. It’s into their fourth season now and it’s topping the charts for best representation of all aspects of queer community- transgender rights, questioning youth, and judgmental parents. But best of all, it’s finally normalizing the image of a home with two mom’s.
