If Roseanne was what it was actually like at my house, Parenthood is what I wish it would be like. Even with the heightened melodrama and requisite tear-jerking, this show just makes you feel good. Maybe it won’t make you feel good about your actual family, but it will reassure you about the general concept of family.

Parenthood came to be known as the gold standard in family drama on television, but it also came to be known as the show most likely to make you cry ugly tears and want to hug your siblings.

In this episode, Adam further fills his role as head worrywart, Camille and Amber do a little grandmother/daughter bonding, Drew acts weirded out about mom, Sarah, bringing a date to dinner, and Crosby is trying to make good with his future mother-in-law.  Julia snaps at Sydney, because she deserves it.

This season two Thanksgiving installment is filled with all the Braverman family antics, but sometimes you just need a good, healthy dose of sentimentality.
